Have a question about your vehicle? Contact Fenkell!
Our customers trust and rely on us to answer their questions and repair their vehicles. As car experts, we invite you to contact Fenkell with any type of question about your vehicle or our services.
Here are a handful of commonly-asked questions:
What type of engine oil does Fenkell use?
We stock all grades of oil that meet your manufacturers’ specifications.
What type of warranty does Fenkell offer on repairs?
Our standard warranty is 12,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first.
With the change of the seasons and temperature, do I need my car checked?
Yes, have your coolant checked to determine its freezing and boiling points and verify whether it needs changing, including checking your:
- Air conditioner before the summer heats up
- Heater before winter approaches
- Tires before the roads become covered with ice and snow
If I don’t take my vehicle to the dealership for maintenance or repairs, will this void my warranty?
By law, your vehicle’s manufacturer’s warranty stays in effect when you perform regularly-scheduled maintenance at a qualified facility that uses appropriate parts and procedures. Per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, your warranty cannot require you to return to your auto dealer for maintenance or use only their brand of replacement parts.
What should I do if my car begins to overheat?
If your car overheats for too long, it can damage your engine. So, quickly and safely pull off the road, and shut off your engine. Avoid checking the fluid level in the radiator as it can burn you. Rather, contact Fenkell to have your car towed, and we will assess the issue for you.
Can Fenkell perform D.o.T (Department 0f Transportation) Inspections?
Yes, Fenkell is qualified to perform both D.o.T Inspections and Limousine Inspections. We also can make the repairs to bring your commercial vehicle up to D.o.T Regulations.
